Terms of use

Importable reads a file of bank transactions (CSV, Excel or TXT) and turns it into an import file for QuickBooks Online, Sage 50, Xero, or a clean CSV. Reading, checks and the preview are free. Downloading is paid.

To prevent abuse, the free preview is limited to 30 files a day for the same connection. Our made up sample statements do not count.

The price is $6.99 per file, shown before payment. Applicable taxes, if any, show on the payment page before you confirm.

It is a one time charge, with no subscription. It gives you the paid file in every format offered, until 25 hours after the file was read.

Payment is made through Stripe, on its payment page, under the Stripe account of Samro Studios Inc.: by card, or by Apple Pay or Google Pay when Stripe offers them on that page.

If our checks find something to look at, for example balances that do not match, we tell you before payment: by how much and on which lines. The price stays the same. If the file does not work for you, the refund policy applies.

A file we cannot read, or one with no usable transaction, is refused: there is nothing to pay.

You remain responsible for your books. Check the file before you import it, and compare the totals with your statement.

For Sage 50, import into a backup copy of your company file first.

We do not guarantee that QuickBooks, Sage or Xero will accept the file. These programs change without notice. If the import fails, write to us: we help you or we refund you.

Importable is not affiliated with Intuit, Sage or Xero.

Only if you ask for it on a file, an artificial intelligence service can suggest your columns (the “Let an AI service suggest the columns” button) and an accounting category for each transaction (the “Suggest an accounting category for each transaction” box, unticked by default). Unless you ask, nothing is sent.

These are suggestions, not accounting or tax advice. They can be wrong: you must review each category before you use it in your books or your tax returns.

Categories show in the preview and in the clean CSV only. What is sent to the AI service is explained in our privacy policy.

Only drop files you have the right to use. How your file is handled is described in our privacy policy.

We do our best to keep the service accurate and available. To the extent allowed by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the file in question.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Quebec Consumer Protection Act.

These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

If these terms change, the new version is posted on this page with its date. It does not apply to past purchases.
